2 joint members of LOL 398 attended the launch of the new LOL 1. Brother Whiteside said "I have to say I've had such a great time in Brixham with true Orange Brothers & Sisters.
Today we held the first meeting of William Prince of Orange LOL 1, at the very place where William of Orange first stepped foot in England for what was to become known as The Glorious Revolution.
I was truly honoured and privileged to be at this wonderful occasion with true Orangemen and women"

A great day was had with the people of the Orange order and the super welcome and hospitality of the Pompey Brethren. A service was held at the massively impressive war memorial and stories were told of the fight against the constant bombarded by the Luftwaffe against the brave souls of Portsmouth.

Lewes Bonfire societies Exhibition

Sussex & Kent District no.88 Worshipful District Master Brother Brian Whiteside alongside Worshipful Master Brother Gary Webb of Sussex Martyrs Memorial LOL398 attending the Lewes Bonfire Society Exhibition in Lewes Town Hall. Brother Whiteside gave a talk on the Protestant Martyrs of Sussex. 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

This is the very building in which LOL 398  had its first ever meeting and was presented it's Warrant by the Grand Master of England in 1895 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🧡

Brother Webb - The highlight of the weekend was meeting ancestors of the original Brethren of the lodge and showing them actual hand written entries into the lodge records going as far back as 1895.
