Myths about the Orange Order

1. The Orange Order is just for people in Norther Ireland - The Orange Order was formed in honour of King William III who was King of England , Scotland & Ireland.
2. The Orange Order is a secret society - Although we're a fraternity, we parade in public on the Kings highway.
3. Woman & children are excluded from the society - We do have junior and ladies lodges within the Orange Order. We would love to start one in Eastbourne, the nearest is Portsmouth.
4. What do you do? - We're a charitable , Christian organisation. We will always defend the Crown & support the UK & the Commonwealth . We look to support each other and the community at large.
5. The Orange Order is intolerant to other religions and people - The Orange Order has lodges all over the world & believes in religious & civil liberties for all people.
